Li-Chun Su is one of Germany’s most versatile young pianists with a broad range of recital and concerto repertoire.

Li-Chun made her concerto soloist debut in the Grand Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic in 2001, and since then she has worked with major orchestras including das Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Berliner Sinfoniker, the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, the Berlin University of Arts Symphony Orchestra, the Porto National Orchestra, the Junge Philharmonie Brandenburg and the Taipei Symphony Orchestra.  Her performing career has taken her to the Netherlands, Germany, U.K., Belgium, Switzerland, Taiwan, Japan, China and Austria.

Li-Chun is also a highly accomplished forte-pianist.  She has given several recitals in the Musikinstrumenten Museum Berlin, at the Michael Haydn Musikfestival Salzburg and Bebersee Festival Brandenburg.   She was chosen to play Carl Czerny’s work on Czerny’s own 1834 Boesendorfer for the International Czerny Congress, 2007.  She also performed on the Brodmann’s 1810 fortepiano once owned by Carl Maria von Weber and on an 1838 Conrad Graf.  In 2014 Li-Chun was to record works of Mozart, Schubert and Carl Maria von Weber on original instruments such as Stein Fortepiano 1775 and Brodmann 1810.

Li-Chun studied at Taipei University of the Arts (1999-2001), University of the Arts Berlin (2001-2010) and University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (2002-2004).  Her teachers included Laszlo Simon, Martin Hughes, Mitzi Meyerson (Fortepiano), Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (Lieder accompany), Alicia de Larrocha, Paul Badura Skoda and Malcolm Bilson.

Li-Chun is a prize winner of prestigious Arthur-Schnabel Competition, Felix-Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Competitio and Porto International Competition.  She was a finalist at the International Johann-Sebastian-Bach Competition 2006 in Leipzig.

Since 2008 Li-Chun Su has been on the Piano Faculty of University of the Arts Berlin.  She gave masterclasses at Soochow University, Taipei and Wuhan (China) in 2014.
